About Aasra
Orphanage (Yateem Khana) was a dream project of all the members & Alhamdulillah by the grace of ‘Allah’ and your wholehearted support we have managed to establish yateem khana in the name “AASRA” (Home for the homeless Children). AASRA was started in the year 2012, as of now for the past 11 years we have successfully managed to run the organisation smoothly with the support we got from you through Zakat, Sadak, Fitra & Donations.
It is sad that many young children are left as orphans by their own parents to grow up in utter poverty and totally uncared atmosphere. Total neglect of physical needs and health slows mental growth and put these children not only in filthy surrounding but a socially dangerous situation as well. These Children are on the streets when they should be going to school. They should be eating healthy food in place of the scraps they are able to put together. They should be cared for instead of abused, they are subjected to platforms, benches, streets are not a substitute for a homely bed. The orphans and destitute children are living in most pitiable conditions it’s not their choice or fault.
AASRA is established to enhance a fruit full future for those who happen to be enrolled here as inmates by the grace of Allah. Serving the poor, innocent destitutes and orphans is a main moto of AASRA. Which is also considered to the noblest things a man can do in his life.
Aasra home is a powered by its qualified professional members from different sector to ensure and execute standard of living. Aasra provides Day & Night Shelter facility & nutritious food.
Looking at our working style, commitment to the cause of Orphan children, Arabsab ( Kassim Bhai ) offered us his age old family house in Benaulim to run our Orphanage in his premises. As a sawaabe zariya for Arabsab’s late mother FATMA, Our Orphanage was named FATMA AASRA since than.
FATMA AASRA is giving shelter to Orphans, destitute, poor children and looks after their schooling, Religious teachings and other extracurricular activities. You can visit our FATMA AASRA with prior permission to see the working of our Orphanage, interact with our staff and children.
Our Children, coming from the lowest strata of society has been a challenge for our Orphanage and with the help of our committed staff and teachers, we are able and are working continuously to refine them to be the best citizens of our NATION.
A Qualified arabic teachers provides a religious atmosphere by offering 5 times salah in a day and also deliver knowledge of Quran & Hadith. As on date the total strength of the children are 29 Separate and spacious rooms for younger and elder boys with a feel of “Homely Atmosphere”, Neat & clean toilets with running water for 24 hours. Neatly laid beds provided with basic comforts and CCTV monitoring in all the rooms to ensure safety and security of the children.
Any working Organization does not remain stagnant but, grows to meet the ever increasing challenges on its way ahead. With increasing number of Orphans, destitute children, the place has become more congested and requires space to breathe. Looking at this situation, Arabsab (Kassim BHai) readily agreed to build a 3 Storey building in the open space. Today, our new FATMA AASRA is on the verge of completion.
With a new building, wide spaces and more accommodation facilities, our day to day expenses are expected to increase manifold.
This RAMZAN, We expect increase in the amount of your Donation, Zakat, Sadqa to meet the ever increasing financial needs of our new FATMA AASRA. Your increased contributions will help us meet the manifold requirements of FATMA AASRA now and in the coming months.
